The Opportunity As a Senior Consultant within the Forensic Consulting team (Financial Advisory division), you will support a range of forensic, dispute litigation and valuation engagements. You will be responsible for delivering technical components of assignments, working closely with senior team members, clients and external advisers, including legal professionals.
You will gain structured training across forensic accounting, dispute litigation and valuation work, while developing strong project management and client-facing skills.
Key Responsibilities - Analyse financial information using Excel and other tools, including loss and damage assessments
- Review financial data and identify gaps or inconsistencies requiring further investigation
- Interpret accounting, financial and banking records
- Review financial statements for compliance with Australian Accounting Standards
- Conduct company and industry research using Capital IQ and other databases
- Prepare clear, well-structured reports and presentations outlining findings and conclusions
- Liaise directly with clients, including lawyers and finance professionals
- Support engagement delivery and develop project management capabilities
- Supervise and mentor junior team members
- Participate in networking, marketing and business development initiatives
- Assist senior team members with proposals and new business opportunities
About You - 3–6 years’ experience in a top-tier or mid-tier professional services firm
- Background in forensic accounting, dispute litigation, valuations, audit or private clients
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- A professional qualification (CA, CPA or CFA)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and organisational abilities
- The ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and analytical capability
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
