The Transaction Services Team specialises in Buy Side, Sell Side and Financial Due Diligence and IAR for IPO for a wide variety of sectors and organisations.
The opportunityAssociate Director role available as part of a Global Transaction Advisory Services team, you will specialise in Transaction Services / Financial Due Diligence.
You will work with many of the countries largest blue chip organisations and will help to identify key value drivers, challenge assumptions about future performance, search for and advise on hidden value, and work with other service teams to deliver an integrated approach to their clients’ before, during and after the transaction.
Key responsibilities of the role as a Associate Director are: - Understanding the key business drivers, co-developing our approach with the client, agreeing value measurements with the client, providing value to the client through insights, factual conclusions and advice
- Project manage teams and work closely with all members as well as forming strong internal links within transaction support and other departments both in Australia and internationally to form multi-disciplinary teams
- Gather, verify and assess information, and formulate views
- Plan, prepare and review deliverables in various forms including written reports, presentations and discussions with the client
- Plan and monitor the progress of the team
- Share your technical and other knowledge with your team and the department
- Build on and develop internal and external networks through personal contacts
- Understand the capabilities of the firm and look for opportunities to sell additional services to clients
- Play a role in business plan initiatives (e.g. key accounts, recruitment, client service framework)
- Being a true business adviser to the client and establish yourself as a key client contact
- Take responsibility for own learning and development, provide coaching / support to others, and participate in upward feedback
The successful applicant will have the following experience: - A bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, business, finance or economics preferred;
- Deep work experience with transaction diligence on buy and sell side preferred;
- A member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, or international equivalent;
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills;
- Strong report writing skills
- Highly effective written and verbal communication skills and a dedication to teamwork willing and able to influence and support internal and external customers;
- A strong work ethic and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas in a collaborative team environment
