Our client is a leading Mid-Tier Accounting Firm. They are experiencing strong growth and are seeking an experienced Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Senior Manager to join their market-leading team
. About our Client They operate a full-service corporate finance team of mid-market specialists. An outstanding level of performance has seen them awarded as a finalist in MergerMarket’s Australian M&A Awards as “Mid-Market M&A Financial Adviser of the Year” for the last four consecutive years.
The team provides a broad range of corporate finance services including:
- Mergers & Acquisitions – sell-side and buy-side lead advisory, as well as targeted corporate and strategic advice
- Valuations - business, shares, options and assets valuations, financial modelling, litigation support and independent expert reports
- Transaction Services - buy-side and sell-side due diligence and investigating accountant’s reports
- Value Creation Services – M&A strategy development, commercial due diligence and integrations and separation assistance
About the Role As a Senior Manager your primary responsibility will be to assist with the delivery and management of M&A projects on a day-to-day basis including lead sell-side and buy-side advisory services and building strong client relationships across a variety of industries including amongst others, technology, automotive, healthcare, education and industrials.
Key Responsibilities: - Project managing client engagements, including building client relationships and managing resource requirements, guiding and reviewing the work completed by junior team members and resolving project issues prior to Partner review.
- Working closely with senior M&A and Deal Advisory team members regarding team strategy and business development initiatives, including identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Acting as an ambassador of the firm, participating in marketing events and keeping abreast of the wide range of services the firm offers;
- Contributing to National M&A team activities.
- Support recruitment, retention, development and training of the M&A team.
Key Requirements: The candidate we’re looking for has work experience in corporate finance environments and prides themselves on strong work ethic and interpersonal skills, combined with:
- minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience (including 5+ years’ direct experience in lead M&A advisory, corporate advisory and/or investment banking);
- background in another leading professional services or boutique advisory firm, private equity, investment bank or in a corporate development role;
- CA and/or CFA qualifications (or similar);
- excellent communication and presentation skills;
- advanced writing, research and modelling skills;
- strong people management skills.
